Dr. Arnold Roth was the best family doctor to Sharmaye and me for 25+ years in Rancho Cucamonga. Very kind and caring man. I, Martin, also lived in NY state and the East Coast in the 60s and 70s. We will miss him. Sincere condolences to the family members. May the Lord comfort you and take good care of you!
Thought about you today as I walk into my office after an intense baseball game the night before that resulted in the Dodgers winning. I remembered all the times you would leave your newspaper sports page on my desk announcing the win. Miss you Dr Roth.
Dr. Roth will be deeply missed! He cared for his patients. I remember, my hubby went in for emergency surgery in the evening & I came in the next morning & Dr Roth was there to check on my hubby. He exemplified what a great doctor should do & went above all . His oath he took as a doctor, was instilled in his way with his patients . An Amazing doctor & far too few like him. He had a staff at the time , that were the Best! They emulated Dr. Rothโs principles of being the best you can be! Blessings to the family!
I met Dr Roth over 22 years ago in a business capacity as a Sales Rep. I just found out that he had passed, hence the late response.
I echo the sentiments of all that have posted...Dr Roth was a very special man. He was very compassionate, kind, caring, had a great sense of humor, and a highly intelligent physician! He deeply loved his family!
I am grateful that our paths crossed and I had the opportunity to work with him!
My deepest sympathies to Shelley, Brianna and Michael at this time.
Rest in peace Dr Roth!
I just learned of Dr. Roth's passing. The loss of a good man lessens the world, and Dr. Roth was certainly a good and caring person. He was my doctor for many years and tended to my health with the utmost professionalism. He also cared for my well-being, showing concern for my family and personal life. I loved his humor, his attitude, and his support. As a longtime Red Sox fan, we always had a good-natured rivalry and I always accused him of impacting my blood pressure when I would be placed in the exam room filled with his Yankee photos and memorabilia. As a La Verne grad and (at that time) staff member, he talked to me about Brianna's studies and later what she was doing professionally. He was always proud of her. My thoughts, prayers and blessings to the family, friends, colleagues and fellow patients on the loss of this truly great man.
Words fail to express how much Dr. Roth meant to our family. For 20 yrs he cared for health & well being. He even acquiesced to seeing our pre-teen & teenage children, which was not his normal clientele! Our kids came to appreciate Dr. Roth. His love of Yankeeโs baseball meant yearly sharing of our Angel box seats, a pleasure to share with his family. May God comfort the Roth family in the days ahead.
Dr. Arnold Roth was a very kind and most certainly a gentle soul. When it came to his patients he always made you feel that you were very important. Thank you! Thank you! For all the care to us as your patients and complete dedication and love of your Medical profession. You are truly an Angel in heaven. I have the beautiful plant clipping in my home that you gave me back at the top of 2018. This a reminder of you and I will always cherish it as we both shared the love for plants.
Mrs. Roth, Brianna and Micheal thank you for sharing you Husband and Father with all of us. My most sincere condolences during this difficult time. Veronica Assal and Family
Dr. Roth will always remain my role model for a family doctor with "soul". He connected with me as a patient & fellow human being in a way I haven't seen since my pediatrician of blessed memory made house calls. This Boomer remembers with awe how Dr. Roth looked at the big picture in his patients' lives - not just the medical but the emotional & spiritual ways to heal & promote wellness. A real mensch who spent quality time with all his patients. He will undoubtedly serve in the heavens above as a guardian angel among God's healers...
My Husband Robert and I have missed him very much as our Dr. He cared for my parents as well showing great compassion to them as they declined in age as well as health. He took time to care and offer medical advice without making you feel rushed or unheard. I also had the honor of working at the hospital with him on some of his patients. This is where I developed a great amount of respect for him. It was noon time if Dr Roth was there in his sneakers and Diet Coke to see his patients! His wife and staff were always caring too. Iโm thankful that I got to have him as my Dr.
I was so delighted when I found Dr. Roth to care for my elderly parents back in the 1990s. He was so kind, understanding and willing to listen. He never seemed like he was in a hurry. He provided excellent care, and for that I will always be grateful. Always had great office staff, too. RIP Dr. Roth

Grateful to you, our loved, respected and admired Physician and your most dedicated professional staff.
I first became a patient of Dr. Roth when his practice was in the 7777 Milliken medical building in Rancho. His wife, Shelley, was his nurse. She was equally as kind and compassionate as Dr. Roth. What an amazing couple! I know that we all wish that we could have done something to ease the pain of the past 2 1/2 years for Dr. Roth and his family. I'm sure that Dr. Roth's family knows that all of our thoughts and prayers were always there for them, and this will comfort them in some way.
I met Dr. Roth in the 1990's when I would take my mom and dad for appointments. After they both passed, I became a patient. He was one of the kindest, nicest people I've ever known. He was a wonderful doctor, and an even better person. He will truly be missed.
Where do I start?? Nearly every memory I have of this remarkable man, is a happy one. I first met Dr. Roth in the mid 1990's at San Antonio Hospital, while working in the ER. I would see him calmly and quietly sauntering through the ambulance entrance door, to see one of his patients. It was usually mid-day (when his office was closed for lunch), and always with a sweet smile and cheerful hello, (and not much more). As my kids got older, and required more taxiing around, I remember one distinct Saturday in (approximately 1998ish), when Dr. Roth slid in the back door of the ER (on a particularly chaotic day), and I looked up at him and frustratingly said, "When are you going to rescue me from this h***hole?" With a sheepish grin, he quickly responded-"I can't afford you!" and kept passing through....
Fast forward a year or so later, again, he passed through the ER, but this time he stopped at my nurse's station window, and said, "So, you ready to come to work for me?" I said, (without hesitation,), "when do I start?" Three weeks later I was hired as one of his Office Managers. In the beginning, I was responsible for all of the HR, P&P, Patient relations, etc, (basically anything other than billing). Within a year, I was responsible for it all. At that time, he had two offices, one in Upland and one in Rancho. He was also the Medical Director of IPSA/IGMG, one of the local IPA's. Although his time was in very high demand, his demeanor never wavered. Ever the calm, quiet, soft-spoken guy, who always managed the intense stress like a champ! The majority focus of his attention was always on his patients. Aside from his family, nothing meant more to him. And, it ws defintiely the "Mutual Admiration Society", because his patients loved him back, just as much! I learned a lot from the nearly 4 years I managed his practice. Mostly, I learned about patience and calm under pressure. We both went through a lot in that 4 years, personally and professionally, and never could I have become who I am today without his friendship and leadership. He made a very indelable imprint on my heart and in my life, and I will forever be grateful for the years I spent in his practice family, and the phenomenal memories of that time. I am certainly a better person for having known him. My heart has a hole in it that will not be filled. Heaven has most assuedly gained another Angel, and he deserves all of the rewards that go with it. May you forever rest in peace, My Dear Friend. You will be deperately missed!
I knew Arnie from a completely different perspective, not as a patient or family friend but as a buddy growing up together in high school through college. Our group were the dorky Jewish guys, most of group were honor students but a couple particularly me were just regular students.
I used to spent time with Arnie during summer vacations, taking hell rides on the 7 Lakes Parkway near Bear Mountain. One summer Arnie needed knee surgery and we spent hours together listening to music. He was really into John Denver at the time and we would listen to the lpโs in the evening after supper when I would come over and spend some time keeping him company. We eventually found English Progressive Rock and pot. We had a blast.
Rest In Peace Arnieโฆ
Dr Roth was my dr for many years. He was by far the best dr I ever had. No one cared about his patients like Arnold he as very good to both to my wife and me me he will be missed He was simply the best and I am proud to have known him. Bob schauet
Dr. Roth was an old fashioned Dr that truly cared about his patients. I am honored to have had him as my Dr. He was an amazing, caring and loving man. I am so sorry for your loss. He loved his family so very much. May God give your family comfort soon.
I met the Roth family soon after they moved from Arizona to Rancho only to discover that Arnie and I both grew up in Spring Valley NY. Nothing more needed to be said after we found that out. Being from Spring Valley meant we had a common history. Heck we both went to Kakiat Junior High probably at the same time! As many others have said Arnie was my friend and my doctor. He also became my parents and sister's doctor. He lovingly cared for my family and helped us when we had to deal with end of life issues. He was always kind, caring and understanding. My Dad always pointed to a specific picture of Yankee Stadium in the office and said "You see that building? My cousin lived in that building and we would watch the games from there". Arnie gave me that picture as a gift when he closed the practice. My family and the Roth's shared many adventures and life events. We watched countless Giants games and super bowls together for about 30 years. (Arnie had his designated place on our couch).
Arnie my friend I will miss you terribly. I send all my love to Shelley, Brianna and Michael. Let us continue to share our memories together.
Heaven has received a Beautiful Soul. Dr Roth, It was an Honor working for you and Shelley. I have very fond memories of the years I spent as part of your staff.
